Drug Offender Education Program

TX DOEP

We provide state approved Drug Offender classes certified by the State of Texas. We are approved service providers with the Dallas and Tarrant County Probation Department.

This class is for individuals who have been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony drug offense. This class will satisfy the requirement for education because of a suspended driver’s license. The standardized program is 15 hours in length taught in five days, three-hours a day. It is designed to educate participants on drug abuse. Upon successful completion of the program the individual will receive a certificate to present to the department of public safety to obtain their driver’s license.

Specific course topics include history of drug abuse, drug/DWI laws, dynamics of drug use, drugs of abuse, how drugs work, cost of use and abuse, health issues, HIV, interpersonal relationships, deglamorization of drugs, values and behaviors, past and desired behaviors, getting control of your life, resource options, and personal action planning.
